The POAMN Board is pleased to bring you the 2024 Planning Guide for Older Adult Ministry. We urge you to circulate it among your congregation and organizations that serve older adults. The guide can help spread the word about the value of OAM, inspire ways to initiate or expand OAM in your congregation, and introduce POAMN to people who aren’t familiar with our organization.
The articles inside have been written by people like you who are serving older adults in some way. They share their wisdom and experience in hopes that they can benefit your work. See a program or activity inside that could interest your community? Nothing would make us happier than hearing that one of these ideas helped you or the older adults you serve.
This year, Older Adult Sunday is May 5. Please consider recognizing Older Adult Sunday in your community. A worship service is included in this guide to make this easier on you or your worship leader. The service was created by Rev. Burnetta Armour, pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, Georgia.
