Expressions of Older Adult Ministry

A project created in partnership with the Office of Christian Formation of the Presbyterian Mission Agency, PCUSA

Engaging in Christian Community with Older Adults

With so many of those active in our churches and communities being older adults it is important to be intentionally in ministry with this group of God’s children.

This is a place for you to engage as a leader and learner in Christian community. You are invited to explore the Guiding Principles of Older Adult Ministry (OAM), an Older Adult Reformed theological framework, some best practices, as well as specific expressions of Older Adult Ministry which may be adapted for your setting. We hope this is a resource you can take a deep dive into, tip a toe in and return often, or search for specific resources. There is something for you, whether you are a volunteer leader, formation leader or pastor. You can engage on your own, in a small group, or share pieces with other leaders.
