ONLINE LEARNING COHORTS
The Fall 2024 cohort menu includes 11 groups, each focused on a different area of ministry. The cohorts below may be of particular interest to those in Older Adult Ministry.
Essentials for Older Adult Ministry
Ministry with older adults is an important component of ministry for congregations and other faith-based organizations. When was the last time you considered what was working well, and what might benefit from a fresh look? What are “the essentials” and how well does your ministry incorporate them? This cohort will use the Expressions of Older Adult Ministry training modules that explore theological frameworks and best practices as we consider together models and approaches for serving our older adults.
Coach: Sarah Erickson
Time: Wednesdays, October 16-November 20; 2 p.m. Eastern
Becoming an Intergenerational Community
Becoming an intergenerational church or faith community is more than offering programming. It’s about lasting relationships where mutuality and reciprocity are core. It takes time and commitment from the community. This cohort will have ministry leaders explore and share best practices, introduce resources and tools, share successes and failures, and set goals for their individual contexts.
